3 year old boy dies in Enniscorthy farmyard

A three year old boy has died in a farmyard accident at Carrigabruse, near Carley’s Bridge, on the outskirts of Enniscorthy.
It is understood that the boy was struck by a transporter at around 4.30 pm today.
The boy was rushed by ambulance to Wexford General Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
It is too early to have any identification, but it is understood that the deceased was a visitor at the site where the tragic accident took place.
As the news unfolds Enniscorthy and surrounding districts have been shocked by the terrible event.
A number of investigations are in progress.

Corey Martin James McCarthy, 9 Ard Alainn, Enniscorthy, dearly beloved son of Patrick and Sharyn, loving brother of Micayla, Kelsey and the late Dean, grandson of Josie and Jimmy McDonald and the late Martin and Kay Cullen; sadly missed by his heartbroken parents, sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and family friends.

Funeral arriving to St. Aidan’s Cathedral, Enniscorthy on Saturday, April 13th for Mass of the Angels at 12 noon, burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery. ”An Angel” May he Rest in Peace.
