Wexford Equestrian attracts the best young horses in the country

Childeric are the title sponsors for this year young horse classes.

The 2019 Stepping Stones To Success Event League gets underway at the Wexford Equestrian Centre, Tomhaggard, on Wednesday morning at 8am.

The league is run over five days, all Wednesday’s, starting this week, with the final leg down for decision on the 24th of April.

Childeric UK have come on board to sponsor both the 4yo and 5yo classes this year, Nupafeed are the title sponsors of the Thoroughbred Class, and QHP and Doagh sponsor the Pony League.

The competition attracts some of the best young horses from all over Ireland, as a result, the world’s leading event riders keep a close eye on the results, and it is basically a shop window for Olympic riders, as well as amateur riders from all over the world.

The horses in action come from the main producing yards in the country, and the riders include the likes of Sarah Ennis and Cathal Daniels, World Equestrian Games medalists, Jennifer Kuehnle, 2015 European Children On Horses Champion, Kate Derwin, European Pony Champion and many more of the best riders in Ireland.

The venue has once again attracted an elite set of judges for the series; William Fox Pitt, Detlef Peper, JP Sheffield, Dag Elbert, Jennie Lorriston Clarke, and resident judges, Ian Fearon and Anne Marie Dunphy.
