Camogie- Rathnure beat Thomastown to set up all Wexford final

Rathnure secured an eight point victory over Kilkenny champions, Thomastown, to set up an all Wexford final for the Leinster Camogie League.

It was a cold and wet morning at the foot the Blackstairs, Thomastown, with the aid of the breeze, were first out of the blocks. The visitors picked off points, but Aoife Guiney was proving unstoppable at full forward and bagged the games first goal to leave the half time score, 1-03 to 0-06.

The second half was a game for the middle third of the pitch, Rathnure with the benefit of the wind this time, their half back line began to dominate with the visitors starting to struggle. As the hail stones fell, a long range effort from Aoife O’ Connor dropped into the top of the net. This was the quickly followed by placed balls from Oonagh Doyle and Ciara O Connor as Rathnure ran out comfortable winners.

The final is scheduled for the 31st of March, Oulart-The Ballagh ran out comfortable winners over Ballyboden St. Enda’s on a scoreline of 7-7 to 0-5
