Minister for Rural and Community Development, Michael Ring, today announced €23,188 in Government which will benefit 14 Men’s Sheds in Wexford.
Bridgetown is to receive €1,599 for tools and equipment.
Kilrane/Rosslare Harbour Men’s Shed will receive €1,449 for IT equipment.
Gorey Men’s Shed will receive €1,730.00 for a Charnwood saw.
Minister Michael D’Arcy said; “It is really positive to see the Government supporting the The Irish Men’s Sheds Association which does fantastic work. I have seen first-hand the positive impact of their activities here in Wexford.”
Each Local Authority area was allocated funding and the application process was overseen by Local Community Development Committees (LCDCs) around the country.
