Grant schemes for saving energy free events

Home and business owners, community groups and housing associations across county Wexford who are anxious to save energy costs, lower carbon emissions and increase the comfort of their buildings are encouraged to attend a free, no obligation information session with the trusted energy and retrofit experts for the region.
Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) has several grant schemes for energy upgrades, with up to 80% of the costs covered. The free information session will make it easy for home owners and the non-domestic sectors to understand what supports are available and where to achieve best return on their investment.
The award-winning, 3 Counties Energy Agency (3CEA) is hosting the free information events on Thursday, November 22nd. The first at the Riverside Park Hotel in Enniscorthy at 3.30 pm is dedicated to home owners. A separate information evening runs at the Presentation Centre, also in Enniscorthy at 7 pm. It will focus on non-domestic projects.
The not-for-profit energy experts are running a few information sessions for the domestic and non-domestic grant schemes across the south east and will explain the benefits of upgrades and amounts of supports available. It’s all part of their drive to make the wider south east one of the most energy efficient regions in Ireland.
In Wexford, 3CEA worked with Kiltealy Community Centre who completed works under the 2018 SEAI Better Energy Community (BEC) Grants programme. They completed several energy upgrades including attic insulation, wall insulation, lighting, windows and boiler upgrades. The estimated energy savings will reduce the annual bills by €778 per year and increase the thermal comfort to its users.
Wexford County Council has also upgraded a few its buildings and facilities through SEAIs BEC grant programmes from 2016 – 2018. Some examples include boiler upgrade & PV at Enniscorthy Library, which will save an estimated €2330 per year. Enniscorthy Fire Station also completed insulation and heating upgrades, saving an estimated €364 per year. Wexford County Council also completed Deep Retrofit upgrades to 12 of its houses in Wexford Town, achieving A-rated standards on all 12 homes.
This event is perfect for anyone who is looking to complete any type of energy works in 2019, including insulation works, lighting, heating, windows, heat pumps, PV or any other measure where energy is saved.
