It is curtains up for the 2018 Gorey Little Theatre Drama Festival which opens tomorrow night with a cheese and wine reception and the first three of nine participating groups take to the stage.
The festival will be officially opened by Elaine Warren, niece of David Warren, who gave long time award-winning performances and was a founder of Gorey Little Theatre.
The adjudicator is Alan Haslett and the event is a qualifier for the All-Ireland One-Act Drama Finals in Kilmuckridge, on Friday, December 7th to Sunday, December 9th.
The programme is as follows;
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15th;
A TEAR WAS FLOWING by Tommy Monaghan (Kilmuckridge Drama Group).
RIDERS TO THE SEA by John Millingtn Syne (Wayside Players).
AFTER THE PICNIC by David Foxton (Bridge Drama).

WHAT’S LEFT OF THE FLAG by Jimmy Murphy (Moat Club Naas).
A FRANK EXCHANGE by Nicholas Marsh (Model Box Productions).
BREATHLESS by John McKenna (Prosperous Drama Group).
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 17th;
THE GIANT KILLERS by Eve and Andrew Pearson-Wright (Balally Players).
THE LIBRARIAN by James Prideaux (Take 5).
HE LOVES ME NOT by Alan Flanagan (Skerries Theatre Group.)
Performances nightly at 8 pm, 7.30 pm on the final night – adjudication and results.
Admission is €13. Patrons tickets for three nights €25.
