St Mogues Fethard turned in a fantastic performance this afternoon to beat Kiltale, the Meath Senior Hurling champions, on a scoreline of 2-09 to 2-05 in the AIB Leinster Intermediate Hurling Championship in Innovate Wexford Park.

The highlight of the opening half was Brian Power’s skillful stick work which set up his 15th minute goal for the Fethard men. In difficult wet and windy conditions, the Wexford Intermediate champions trailed by 4 points at halftime, 1-03 to 2-04.
John Tubritt’s 10th minute goal strike brought the sides level and Fethard pushed on for a 4 point victory, to set up a Leinster semi-final clash, at home to Kilkenny’s, Graigue Ballycallan, at home, this day two weeks (17th of November).
Incidentally, Graigue Ballycallan, beat Celbridge 0-16 to 0-13 this afternoon.
