Ballindaggin trainer Donnchadh Doyle has won the opening four year old maiden at all Saturday fixtures in the North this season and he trained his fifth winner when Winged Leader ran out a six lengths winner at Loughbrickland, Co. Down, this afternoon.
Doyle takes the lead over Colin Bowe in the handler’s championship while the successful rider, Rob James, gained his seventh winner and shares the top spot with Barry O’Neill.
Home-bred Bloodstream won the mares open for the Murphy family of Corecannon House, Inch, owners and trainer, Miriam and John Murphy, and jockey Luke Murphy, who was having his 18th career winner and his first of the 2018-’19 season.
