Extra race added to Wexford on Saturday

Wexford races becomes an eight-race card due to a high entry and the first race is now off at 1.10 pm. Going for the day is reported as ‘good’.
An impressive 149 entries were accepted for Saturday’s all National Hunt card at Bettyville Park, which means maximum fields in most races and a guarantee of competitive action throughout the afternoon.
1.10 pm; The Adare Manor Opportunity Maiden Hurdle of €13,500. About two miles. (17 entries).
1.40 pm; The Garry Flood Landscaping Handicap Hurdle of €11,500 (Rated 80-102. About two miles. (27 entries).
2.15 pm The Menapia Motors Renault Opportunity Handicap Hurdle of €10,500 (Rated 80-95). Division One. About two miles and four furlongs. (46 entries).
2.50 pm The Menapia Motors Renault Opportunity Handicap Hurdle of €10,500 (Rated 80-95). Division Two. About two miles and four furlongs.
3.25 pm; The M2 Construction Mares Maiden Hurdle of €11,500. About three miles. (21 entries).
4 pm; The Audrey McGrath Memorial Novice Steeplechase of €14,500. About two miles. (9 entries).
4.35 pm; The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Opportunity Handicap Steeplechase of €15,000. About two miles. (10 entries).
5.10 pm; The Dan Byrne Memorial Handicap Steeplechase of €11,500 (Rated 0-102. About three miles, one furlong and 50 yards. (19 entries).
Earlier in the day members and supporters of Wexford Racecourse Supporter’s Club will visit Paul Nolan’s Toberona Stables at Davidstown, Enniscorthy, before assembling at Bettyville Park for a meal and day’s racing action.
Free car park in the centre of the racecourse for about 200 cars. Food, bar and betting facilities in the enclosure.
Admission is €15; OAPs and students €10 and under 14 are free.
