Bannow 3yo Championship heads to West Cork

John Tyner’s, Bullseye, won the “Three Year Old All-Ireland Championship”, at the Bannow Rathangan Show on Thursday afternoon.

Bullseye (ISH) is by Orestus (KWPN), who stands at HVL Stud, Enniskerry, County Wicklow, and is out of the Cruising (ISH) mare, Cruise Oak (ISH), bred by Michael J Horgan, County Tipperary. His older brother, CHS Krooze, by Kroongraff, ridden by Peter Smyth, won the Cruising 6yo Championship at the Dublin Horse Show in 2016.

John Tyner, Kinsale, County Cork is a brother of the well known National Hunt trainer, Robert Tyner. The winning gelding was exhibited by 22yo Aidan Williamson, from The Leap, in West Cork, it is his second season showing horses, he gained valuable experience showing ponies in the UK.

Bullseye will now be aimed at the Dublin Horse Show in August, indeed he is no stranger to success in the RDS having won the two year old class at last years show.

 

The Reserve Champion was MHS Morning Master (ISH), a gelding by Quidam Junior I (KWPN), out of MHS Cavaliers Daughter (ISH), by Cavalier Royale, bred by Sinead Brennan, Gowran, County Kilkenny, and exhibited by Brian Murphy, Coolgreaney.

The leading filly in the class was Mantlehill Diamond Melody (ISH), by Munther [IRE] (TB) out of Automatic Mover (ISH), by Limmerick (HOLST), bred by Leo Cahalane, Skibbereen, County Cork and owned by John Williams.
