The 71st annual Adamstown Agricultural, Horticultural, Trade and Vintage Show is expected to draw large crowds on Saturday, July 7th, with horse, pony, sheep, cookery, arts and crafts all part of the competition and entertainment. It begins at 10 am.
One of the major events is Class 21 the Tattersalls & Red Mills All-Ireland Thoroughbred Broodmare Championship with a prize fund of €1,500 and the “Investec Wealth & Investment” All Ireland Broodmare and Foal Team Championship Class 9 with an excellent prize fund of approximately €4,300.
With nearly 100 classes for horses and ponies its sure to be a great fun filled day.
The agricultural, horticultural, arts, crafts, trade and vintage show is taking place on land donated by local families and the day’s activities is driven by volunteers.

Pets of every breed will be up for the Dog Show at Adamstown Show.
The show will feature all the usual horse, pony and sheep classes as well as showjumping.
There are also numerous horticultural, home cooking, home industries, arts and crafts classes and a range of competitions for children to enter.
This year Adamstown have introduced several classes specifically for Special Needs and vintage enthusiasts will flock to see the large entry of vintage tractors and machinery which will be on display during the day.
Other highlights include a dog show which takes place at 2 pm. There is also limited number of children’s amusements, an animal pet’s corner, traditional butter making and lots more. There will be refreshments served all day at the show making it a perfect family day out.
