Cruinniú na nÓg happens this Saturday, June 23rd, and it is a national day of creativity and in Co. Wexford there will be over twenty free events for children, young people and family groups in the towns of Wexford, New Ross, Gorey, Enniscorthy and Bunclody.
Spooky tales, Storytelling in Wolfland, Rock Music, and Circus skills await the energetic youth of Enniscorthy.
Further north in Bunclody you can try 3D printing, sewing fun for children of all ages and a chance to meet Pirate Pete the odd sock puppet.
In Gorey, activities range from Fabadoodle doggie drawing to art classes and an exhibition in collage, podcasting, animation and Lego.
New Ross will host a drama and circus skills workshop, Frank Lee speaking by the Youth Theatre, a plant and grow event and guided tours of Duncannon Fort for all the family.
In Wexford Town, bring the family and enjoy the many events at the Maritime Festival on the Quays.
There you can experience search and rescue, see the visiting boats and take part in rowing and sailing water activities. There will be history and heritage too from the knowledgeable members of Rosslare Maritime Museum which will be closed this weekend and moved onto Wexford’s historic quayfront.
Author Ernie Shepherd will be available to sign copies of his recently launched maritime history book, ‘Wexford Harbour Commissioners; A history 1794-2010’.

Model boats exhibition will be an attraction at Wexford Maritime Festival this weekend.
There is a cultural celebration from the Middle East in Wexford Library with arts and crafts and circus skills and a Youth Cabaret in Wexford Arts Centre.
Children and young people, from aged 0 to 18, are invited to participate in culture and creativity through performance, coding, theatre, art and music workshops, readings, screenings, special events and much more.
Events are free, local and activity-based. It’s a day for doing, making and creating, a day where they can share their ideas, learn new skills and have fun.
