The second of the four qualifiers in the Young Event Horse Series took place at Forth Mountain on Wednesday. It was another good day for Wexford riders as three booked their tickets for the Dublin Horse Show.
Patrick Whelan & Brookfield Marlow (ISH), by Kopperfield (TB), out of Cushinstown Wish (ISH), by Master Imp (TB), owned by John & Chloe Perry, and bred by Simon Macarthy, qualified for the 4yo Young Eventhorse Series at the Dublin Horse Show at Forth MtStud on Wednesday afternoon.

In the four year old section, Patrick Whelan & Brookfield Marlow (ISH), by Kopperfield (TB) out of Cushinstown Wish (ISH), by Master Imp (TB), owned by John & Chloe Perry, and as the name suggests, was bred by Simon Macarthy in Cushionstown, took one of the five places on offer for this section.
Adrian Burrell & Tullogher Diamond (ISH), by Dilshan (TB) out of Old Boley Lass, by Kec Bluejay Diamond (ID), bred by Tom Grennan and owned by Adrian Burrell booked their ticket for Dublin in the 5yo Young Eventhorse Series at Forth MtStud on Wednesday.

Adrian Burrell, Murrintown, both owned and rode, Tullogher Diamond (ISH), this combination successfully booked their RDS ticket in the five year old section, by Dilshan (TB) out of Old Boley Lass by Kec Bluejay Diamond (ID) owned and ridden by Adrian Burrell bred by Tom Grennan in Barntown.
In the small Event Class, Freepark Flyer, by Heritage Fortunus, out of a Cavalier Royal mare, owned by Patrice Byrne, ridden by her daughter Meabh Byrne, trained by Linda Murphy and bred by Carmel Lawlor from Athy, County Kildare, also booked their ticket to this year’s Dublin Horse Show
Next week the third qualifier takes place in Tullylish, County Armagh.
