The National Boxing Championships for Girls 1- 6 takes place this weekend in the National Stadium.

Mia Robbins, Gorey Boxing Club, fights for an Ireland title, Girl 5- 52kg, in the South Circular Road venue on Saturday afternoon, her opponent is Louise McSorley, from the Two Castles Boxing Club, Newtownstewart. In her semi-final bout last Saturday Mia beat Nicole Clyde (Antrim) 5-0.

Laoise Kearney, Bunclody Boxing Club, has a walk over to collect the Girl 4- 41kg title.

St Michael’s Boxing Club,  New Ross, have two finalists on Friday evening. Jamie O’Rourke takes on Charlie McEvoy in the Girl 1- 37kg section and Jessica Murphy takes on Caoimhe Kinsella (St Anhtony’s/Pats) in Girl 2- 33kg section.
