A 19 years old woman has been killed in a road crash near Enniscorthy and a second woman, believed to be her mother, has been airlifted to Tallaght Hospital with serious injuries. A number of others are believed to have escaped with minor injuries and shock.
The accident occurred around 12.30 pm today (Tuesday) on the Dublin side of the Blackstoops Roundabout (N11) and three vehicles were involved.
Three ambulances and three units of the fire service rushed to the scene.
The N11 was closed to traffic between the Blackstoops Roundabout and the Scarawalsh Roundabout and diversion operated on the L2008 Old Dublin Road.
It is understood that the road may be closed for some time and traffic congestion is expected around Enniscorthy with traffic using Rosslare Europort.
