MHS Charlie Fox wins 4yo Champion Hunter at Balmoral Show for Aubrey Chapman

MHS Charlie Fox was the 4yo Champion Hunter at Balmoral Show

The 4yo Champion Hunter at the 150th Balmoral Show on Wednesday was MHS Charlie Fox, owned by Victoria Tennant, produced and ridden by Aubrey Chapman, Glandoran, Gorey.

The Chapman family are synonymous with success in the show ring, and this win gave Aubrey an early birthday present. Don’t be surprised to see this fellow in the Main Ring in the Dublin Horse Show come August.

The 16.2 chestnut gelding was bred by Tom Brennan, Gowran, County Kilkenny. He is by Quidam Jnr, who stands at Kedra House Stud, out of MHS Cavaliers Daughter, by Cavalier Royale, the grand dam was by Olympic Lux, and hails from the family of Gowran Park, Badger Hill Cruise and Dorado.

MHS Charlie Fox’s 3yo full brother, under the care of Brian Murphy, was the leading young horse at the Thomastown Show 2 weeks ago, his next outing will be in the All-Ireland Championship at the Bannow Rathangan Show in July.

The dam also has another 2yo full brother, and she is also in foal to Quidam Jnr again.

Incidentally, Brian brokered the deal between Aubrey and Tom.
