Cushie Jet was the fastest heat winner in the second round of the Connolly’s RED MILLS Champion Unraced Stake at Kilkenny on Friday night.

The Diana Brodie and John Codd owned son of Droopys Jet and Except Change scored an all the way success to stop the clock in 29.09.

Lat week he produced a 28.95, but in round 2, the 4/6F had to overcome a difficult trap one berth, he moved to the middle on the run-up, so he certainly would favour an inside draw.

In round 1 he did a 4.33 split, last night he was slightly back with a 4.35.

The semi-finals of this 10,000 euro to the winner competition are down for decision next Friday night.
