
This is a Youth Participation Showcase Event which will take place this week on Thursday 10th May 2018 in the Riverside Park Hotel, Enniscorthy from 18.30 to 21.30.
The objective of the event is to highlight the issues facing young people growing up in Wexford in 2018.
Young people from all over the county will take a platform to speak about issues that are important to them.
Topics include youth mental health, LGBTI issues, dealing with illness and the importance of music in young people’s lives.
There will be a number of keynote speakers who will address the following topics:
Cyber-security by John Dwyer –“Lets B Safe”,
Homelessness and teen parenthood by Deborah Somorin – Focus Ireland
Migration and Conflict Transformation by Kelvin Akpaloo & Nenji Benstowe -National Youth Council of Ireland
Transgender issues by Vanessa Lacey – TENI
Young people from all around the county, their parents and friends are encouraged to attend as local politicians, professionals who work with children and young people as well as representatives from organisations involved in Wexford CYPSC will also attend to support the presentations and discussion.

Wexford CYPSC would like to thank everyone who is involved in the organisation of this event, particularly the young people who will give inputs on the evening and a special thanks is also extended to the keynote speakers.
Wexford CYPSC hopes to build on the learning from this event and host similar events in the future.
