Wexford Youths progressed to the semi-finals of the Continental Tyres Women’s National League Cup following their 2-1 victory over Cork City in Bishopstown on Sunday afternoon.
Last weekend they beat Cork 1-0 in the league at Ferrycarrig Park .
Against the run of play Cork struck in the first half through Michelle O’Driscoll to take a 1-0 at half time.
Wexford started much better in the second half.

A bit of a collectors item as Orlaith Conlon was on target in today’s 2-1 win over Cork City Women at Bishopstown! Cracking header to level the game. Not a bad celebration either.

In the 51st minute, Orlaith Conlon’s darting run to the near post reaped dividends as her glancing header beat Amanda Budden in the Cork goal.

The game looked set for extra time, but City failed to clear their lines in injury time, the ball fell to Claire O’Riordan on the edge of the box, and she tucked it sweetly away into the Cork net.
Wexford Youths next outing is away to UCD Waves next Sunday.
