The going is described as “soft, heavy in places” and the forecast is “overcast with some drying.”
All of the top trainers have entries including Willie Mullins, Gordon Elliott, Henry de Bromhead, Jessica Harrington and Noel Meade, while the locals will be represented by Paul Nolan, Liz Doyle, Colin Bowe, Denis Hickey and Leonard Whitmore, to name but five.

Trainer Paul Nolan goes to his local track with chances on the back of a hat-trick of wins for Rooster Byron, (5/2 fav.), under Kevin Sexton, in the Mallow Handicap Hurdle at Cork on Friday evening.
The seven year old son of Oscar, running in the colours of Kay Browne, had won at Clonmel in March and Limerick in April prior to latest success at Cork.
“I think that’ll be him (finished) for the season because he handles proper winter ground,” said the Davidstown, Enniscorthy, trainer afterwards.
