Local handlers were very much to the fore during the Goffs sale at the Punchestown Festival.

Colin Bowe’s Southern Sam chased home the Doyle winner that day in Courtown, and Gerry Hogan went to €105,000 to secure the Black Sam Bellamy gelding.
The Kiltealy handler saddled Danny Whizzbang to win last Sunday at Ballysteen and Tom Malone went to 115,000 to land the Getaway gelding.
The top price on the night was the 320,000 for recent Largy winner, Lecale’s Article, a 4yo gelding by Malinas (GER) out of Brookville (IRE), Highflyer Bloodstock was the purchaser here.
