Wexford Handlers once again topped the Tattersalls Sale at Cheltenham on Friday evening.
Top lot of the day was the Martaline gelding, Thatsy, consigned by Donnchadh Doyle’s Monbeg Stables, he was the impressive three length winner of the four-year-old Maiden at Lingstown and followed that up with a second in the Winners of Two at Loughanmore. He was knocked down to Grand National winning trainer Gordon Elliott for £130,000.

Colin Bowe’s Cobbler’s Way produced a promising performance when second on his debut when only beaten a length and a half in the four-year-old Maiden at Dromahane, from the family of Foxchapel King, the Oscar gelding was knocked down for £120,000 to agent Mags O’Toole and trainer Henry de Bromhead.
