Day Three of the “Stepping Stones To Success Eventing League” took place today at the Wexford Equestrian Centre.
The 4yo section, sponsored by Top Spec and Shires Equestrian, was won by Johan-Some, ridden by Heidi Hamilton, the combination took the runner-up position in Week 1 and 2, they scored an impressive 215 points on the day to run out comfortable winners.
Daniel Anderson took the runner up spot, 207 points, with an unnamed gelding by Watermill Swatch out of the Coevers Diamond Boy mare, Coolawn Beauty. Local rider, Ann Lambert, took third place on 201 points, with Miss Ellie, by Hermes de Reve, out of the Master Imp mare, Miss Ozy.

Correna Bowe took the runner-up spot with Montera Billy The Kid
Aoife Quigley took the 5yo section with Kilcandra Vanessa, this combination were successful on the opening day of the league, the Orestus mare scored 203.5, they only had half a mark to spare over the runner-up, Montera Billy The Kid, the Riyalan mare was ridden by young rider, Correna Bowe. Third place went to Nicola Ennis partnered, Sarco To Perfection, owned by Oliver Walsh.

Thomas Byrne won with Ask Mammy
The Thoroughbred section, sponsored by Willie Mullins, was won by Ask Mammy (175.5) & Thomas Byrne, the unraced 6yo mare, is by Ask, out of the Polish Precedent mare, Gold Shot. Test Pilot (173.5) & Rachel Wall took the runner-up spot for the second week and last week’s winner, Izzy Leadbitter & Destination Street (169.5) took third place.

Cha Cha Cha won the Pony section
Runner-up in weeks 1 & 2, Gorey Rider, Dale Adams, took the Pony section, sponsored by Oulartleigh Stud, on Cha Cha Cha (210.5), the 5yo mare is by Olympic Lux out of the Kroongraf mare, Ballinamonapark Bella. Killian Murphy took second and third place with Cullintra Bonfire and Anne Fields Hector.
The “Top Spec Viewing Day” takes place next Wednesday, the 18th of April.
