A good crowd turned up at Enniscorthy Greyhound Track on Monday night for the semi-finals of the Connolly’s RED MILLS Easter Unraced Stake.
Boylesports Boom was installed the 4/5 shot to take the opening qualifier, favourite backers had little to worry about as he took over at the head of affairs into the third bend. The early leader, Coolside Walker, faded slightly close home, this allowed the running on Milford Station to fill the runner-up berth, the time was 29.25.
Ninja Burgess was sent off the ½ favourite in the second semi-final, he got tangled up in first bend crowding but did well after to claim a qualifying slot back in third place. Karlow Eddie stayed on strongly on the run-in to win in 29.39. Once again the eye catcher here was Blackhill Rock, after early crowding he ran on well to take the runner-up spot.
The final, with a winners prize of 4,000 euro will be run next Monday night, the 16th of April, and the trap draw is as follows.
1- Milford Station
2- Coolside Walker
3- Blackhill Rock
4- Ninja Burgess
5- Karlow Eddie
6- Boylesports Boom
