“Goals win games”, this was certainly true at Innovate Wexford Park in the opening round of the Tom Doyle Supplies Senior Football Championship as Castletown beat St Annes’s Rathangan on a scoreline of 2-11 to 0-15, the teams were level at half time, seven points each, but goals from Ben Brosnan and Donnacha Holmes proved decisive as the northerners came home with a two point victory.
