Could fans be ticket-ed off?

They’re selling like hot-cross buns – and Innovate Wexford Park is certain to be thronged for Sunday’s massive Wexford-Kilkenny league semi-final showdown which promises to be an absolute Easter cracker.

Ticket sales were already well beyond the 10,000 figure by Thursday evening, and the pace of sales wasn’t exactly slowing.

There was a massive clamour for tickets when the neighbours clashed at the Clonard venue in last year’s Leinster championship semi-final.

With a capacity of just over 18,000, there should be sufficient room to cater for the huge interest again for this Sunday’s renewal.

Yet, considering the healthy pace of sales, supporters are still being encouraged to pocket the coveted pieces of paper well before match-day itself.

Tickets are currently retailing at €15 for adult tickets bought before Sunday, with the price of same rising to €20 on game day. Juvenile/U16 tickets are €5.

It is important to note that this is an unreserved seating fixture.

Tickets can be secured via the ticket sales site on wexfordgaa.ie or SuperValu stores.
